Dan Wenn aka Danny Awes is a Melbourne based artist and graphic designer. Dan developed an early obsession with public art after seeing the graffiti on train carriages and trackside walls in Melbourne in the 1980s. This led to Dan picking up a spray can and painting from an early age.
Painting ever since, Dan’s work is vibrant, playful, considered and thought provoking. Dan strives to create artworks with which people of all ages and walks of life can connect.

Founder and Creative Director of commercial street art studio 90 Degrees Art, Dan is passionate about fostering his love of public art in anyone he comes into contact with. He has worked on community, regional, corporate and private mural projects throughout Australia and has participated in mural festivals and numerous exhibitions over the past seven years. He has mentored at-risk youth and worked on a number of local and regional community outreach projects.

Dan’s artwork has been featured in Vogue LivingInside Melbourne Street Art published by Thames and Hudson, QANTAS magazine, Melbourne Street Art and Beyond, The Age, Herald Sun, The Australian, Melinda Vassallo’s Perfect Match and Mike Makatron’s self published homage to street art. Dan’s work has also featured in a number of architectural projects that have gone on to win various categories of both the Melbourne Design Awards and Driven By Design Awards.
